Which format should I use for the web?
WebP if you need broad support and small files. AVIF if you want the smallest possible file and your audience uses modern browsers. JPG remains the safest fallback.
WebP vs AVIF — which is better?
AVIF compresses ~20% smaller than WebP at the same quality, but WebP has wider browser support today. AVIF is the future, WebP is the present.
Is conversion lossless?
PNG output is lossless. WebP and AVIF can be near-lossless at high quality settings. Starting from a JPG means the original compression is already baked in.
Will I lose metadata (EXIF, color profile)?
By default we strip EXIF for privacy. The color profile is preserved. You can choose to keep EXIF in the conversion options.
